The Schmeisser AR15 is based on a system that has been used by militaries around the world for decades. Over the years, there have been significant advancements in material development. Today, unlike in the past, materials can be produced with higher strengths through various alloy components. Therefore, the upper and lower receiver of the Schmeisser AR15 is made from 7075 T6 aluminum using the forging process. This manufacturing process achieves, unlike 'machined from solid' receivers, an uninterrupted fiber flow in the material.
