A headgear protects outdoors from sun, precipitation and mosquitoes or ticks. Traditionally, hunters also use it to fasten the shooter's or hunter's cap when hunting.
The most widespread headgear for hunting is now the peaked cap or the modern "baseball cap" in hunting colors, because on the one hand it protects the head and on the other hand hearing protection can be worn over it.
However, for social occasions, such as hunting and receiving the kill, a classic hunting hat is still a popular and stylish accessory and should be in the equipment of every hunter.
