How are airsoft guns classified?

Gunfinder Magazine

Airsoft guns can be classified according to various purposes:

Airsoft (or softair guns) are mainly oriented towards tactical weapons. With long guns, more precise shooting performance can be achieved at a distance compared to short guns. However, the muzzle energy is crucial. Although softair guns with up to 7.5 joules of muzzle energy (and the designation "F in a pentagon") are freely available for purchase from the age of 18, this strength is not suitable for use on the airsoft field because the impact energy is too high. A much larger safety distance from fellow players would be necessary. To be effective at all distances, it is advisable to carry two guns with different muzzle energies on the airsoft field.

Airsoft guns can mainly be found in online shops like 4komma5, but also on relevant sites like eGun or Auctronia.
