The .416 Rigby is a rifle cartridge developed in 1911 by London gun manufacturer John Rigby & Company for hunting bullet-hard and defense game. The metric dimensions of the large caliber are 10.54 x 73 mm.
In its now over 100 year history, the cartridge has been and continues to be especially popular among elephant hunters.
