The .50 AE (Action Express) caliber with the metric dimensions of 12.7 x 36.6 is the strongest cartridge for semi-automatic pistols on the market. The most well-known weapon that is standardly delivered in .50 AE is the Desert Eagle.
With the Desert Eagle, 300 grain heavy projectiles are fired as standard, which have a muzzle energy of 400 m/s and an energy output of 1700 Joules.
