J. P. SAUER & SOHN has been shaping hunting with rifles for more than 270 years. It all began with Lorenz Sauer from Nuremberg, who founded the oldest gun manufacturing company in Germany with his brothers in Suhl in 1751.
The 505 is a worthy further development that has earned the trust of the hunting community with its uncompromising quality, maximum precision and timeless beauty! The new model shines with its ergonomic design, combined with elegance and dynamism! But this beautiful rifle is not only visually impressive, it is also a technical market leader!
The heart of the new Sauer rifle is the incomparably silky-smooth bolt action, which already caused a sensation with the "original mother" - Model 80 (keyword: bolt action)! Super quiet, fast and reliable, these are the elements that herald a new era! This is also ensured by the pure steel housing, which is milled from a solid block in a complex process. Only 732 grams of the 6.5 kilogram raw part remain at the end. This sophisticated process guarantees a balanced overall weight of the hunting rifle with outstanding robustness. In conjunction with the tried and tested saddle mount, this guarantees maximum precision! The hand cocking of the new Sauer 505 has also been completely redeveloped.
Naturally, the unmistakable Sauer trigger characteristics are also retained in the latest bolt action rifle. Thanks to the adjustable Quattro trigger, the ideal trigger weight can be set for every hunting situation. The shooter can choose between 350, 750, 1,000 and 1,250 grams.
Another big plus is the integrated MagLock magazine safety, which reliably prevents the magazine button from being released unintentionally. The cold hammer forged barrel guarantees the Sauer precision valued by connoisseurs worldwide. With 19 different calibers and the modular design of the S 505, exchanging stock pairs and calibers is child's play.
In addition to the free configuration, Sauer offers three equipment packages that have been put together by experienced hunters. The focus here is on the finishes of the barrel, bolt and receiver as well as on fine details on the gun. The decision whether to use a polymer, carbon or wooden stock is left to the hunter.

The legendary rifle shines with its sophisticated symbiosis of receiver, barrel, bolt and trigger unit for a perfect and precise shot with the unmistakably elegant appearance that Sauer shooters love so much. A bolt action rifle for generations!

The total weight of 3200g to 3520g, depending on the stock, ensures a safe shot and prevents jamming, as the Sauer rests in itself when fired!

The barrel length between 51 cm and 62 cm is optimally matched to the required gas pressure and twist, depending on the caliber!

The SAUER Quattro trigger: 350 g / 750 g / 1,000 g / 1,250 g (adjustable) can be individually adjusted to suit everyone's taste and hunting situation!
