The MGV-176 is a submachine gun chambered for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. It is a modernized version of the American-180.
It was manufactured in Yugoslavia by Gorenje from Velenje until 1979. Production continued in Slovenia where it is apparently still manufactured by Orbis.

Das Verbot großer Magazine wurde innerhalb der Europäischen Union nach den Anschlägen in Paris (Charlie Hebdo und Bataclan) eingeführt. Das Verbot von Magazinen mit großer Kapazität (Langwaffen mehr als -10- Patronen, Kurzwaffen mehr als -20- Patronen) gilt nur für Zentralfeuerwaffen. Magazine großer Kapazität für Randfeuer-Patronen sind erlaubt.
