The Ultravid class from Leica is characterized by its impressive imaging performance, giving it an outstanding strength. This is made possible by the Leica HighLux System HLS, which offers visibly higher image brightness and increased contrast. The technical specifications of this class are remarkable: with an AP position of 15 mm and a diopter adjustment of ± 3.5 dpt, the Ultravid class is particularly suitable for people with vision corrections, such as glasses wearers. A special eyepiece for glasses wearers and an eyecup with a rotating sliding sleeve allow for individual adjustment of the eye distance in the range of 34 to 74 mm.
The internal focusing is done via a central focus knob and includes an integrated diopter adjustment. This allows the sharpness to be easily adapted to individual vision requirements. The roof prism system of the Ultravid class is equipped with a phase-correction coating P40 and the HighLux System HLS. This combination ensures exceptional image quality and precise representation.
The outer lenses of the Ultravid class feature HDC multi-coating and AquaDura coating, which ensure optimal light transmission and reduce reflections. This results in clear and high-contrast images. Another remarkable feature of this class is its waterproofness up to a depth of 5 meters. The housing is made of robust aluminum and is nitrogen-filled. This effectively prevents the ingress of moisture and dust, and the Ultravid class remains reliable even under adverse conditions.
