Special requirements apply to clothing fordriven hunts, since this form of social hunting takes place in the cold season and for the hired shooters may not leave their driven hunt stands for several hours.
Drückjagd cap
First of all, a hunting cap in signal colors is recommended. Many hunters also prefer a conspicuous hat band orange neon tones, but caps have several advantages. On the one hand, they are more conspicuous than the usually only 2-3 cm wide hat bands. On the other hand, it is possible to wear ear protection when wearing the hat. A traditional hunting hat usually cannot be worn very well at the same time as hearing protection, which is why in our opinion hats are best combined with silencers. On driven hunts, however, many hunters prefer to shoot without a silencer, because on the one hand you have to shoot while moving and a high center of gravity in the direction of the muzzle can be irritating, and on the other hand many hunters on driven hunts also sit in a non-open pulpit, so that a shorter barrel is advantageous because you don't bump into anything.

Driven hunt jacket
Driven hunt jackets must be kept in a conspicuous red, yellow or orange, so that the wearer can be immediately recognized by other hunt participants - if necessary also in the movement, if for example game changes highly volatile from the shooting range. In addition, the jacket should also protect against moisture and cold, because you are more exposed to the weather during driven hunts than, for example, when sitting in a hide. High-visibility vests offer an alternative.
Their advantage: If you already have a classic green or brown hunting jacket, you can also use it for driven hunts. In addition, a high-visibility vest is not dependent on weather conditions - it can be worn directly over a T-shirt, for example, during harvest hunting, or over a warming jacket designed for winter, and therefore does not require several layers in conspicuous high-visibility shades.
Sow protection pants
Special sow protection pants are recommended for drivers and "walk-through" hunters such as dog handlers. As the name suggests, these pants must primarily provide impact and wedge protection. Therefore, they are reinforced with puncture and cut resistant layers. They must also reliably protect the wearer from the thorns of bramble hedges. They should also be waterproof and coldproof, while not restricting the wearer's freedom of movement. A sow protection trousers is therefore a product to which the highest demands are made. However, sow protection pants are primarily for drivers and tracking guides.
Hunting boots for driven hunt
Must also be able to withstand all temperatures and precipitation. The non-slip treaded sole with appropriate insulation are basic requirements, so that the cold ground has no chance to reach the feet.
Thermal underwear
That someone has been too warm in the winter while hunting you hear extremely rare. For the Ansitz like the driven hunt is warming underwear the basis for a pleasant body feeling, and possibly for the hunting success, because you can move better, or sit longer patiently waiting.
Hunting gloves
Special gloves for hunters, where the fingertip of the trigger finger remains uncovered for an unadulterated feeling of shooting, are a useful accessory for frosty winter temperatures.
