As of 09/01/20, dealers will require NWR IDs for gun purchases, sales, and repairs.
This means that gun owners will get a personal NWR ID number for themselves and another one for each individual gun ownership card (E-ID) , they have. Both IDs must be known and provided by the purchaser or they will not be able to buy the gun!
Nothing works without the NWR IDs anymore!
This data can be requested as a master data sheet from the respective weapons authority or printed in the WBK. As a weapon owner, you must proactively take care of this yourself!
NWR IDs essential parts:
Not only weapon owners and WBK get their own IDs, every essential part of a weapon, e.g. barrel, breech, housing get their own weapon NWR IDs, which must be presented if a weapon or the part changes the owner - even if this is only temporary. These IDs of the weapon parts are entered in the WBK, but they must be specified when changing ownership - the owner must therefore be known!
If a weapon is sold privately, the IDs must also be known!
