The new Blaser B2 riflescope line - perfect for night hunting

Gunfinder Magazine

The new Blaser B2 riflescope line is perfectly matched for use with attachments. The new Blaser Optics B2 rifle scopes impress with their compact design and robust workmanship.

Blaser Optics is expanding its optics product range with the new B2 rifle scope line. There are three high-performance models to choose from:

Three new compact rifle scopes from Blaser

DAs B2 1-6x24 iC, perfect for movement hunting and stalking, the all-round model B2 2-12x50 iC and the large model ideal for poor visibility and long shooting distances, the B2 2.5-15x56 iC. All three models are designed and constructed with regard to their ability to be combined with an attachment. That is why riflescopes and attachments were already tested as a target optics unit during product development.

The three hunting optics designed for night hunting are very attractively priced compared to the flagship models of other premium manufacturers. Even at first BIick, they differ from the existing Blaser Optics Premium Line B1.

All riflescopes of the Blaser B2 line are presented in silky matte black with a silver argali. A special feature of the new riflescope line is that they have been specially designed with regard to a short design - this allows the rifle to be operated very comfortably in the firing position in conjunction with an attachment.

The flip cover for the objective lens, which can remain on the riflescope due to a special cut-out when using an attachment, also offers a special practical hunting advantage. It ensures that the attachment is always aligned with repeat accuracy. Opening the flip cover before firing automatically turns on the red dot of the reticle. The technology ensures that the lens is protected and that the shooter can concentrate one hundred percent on delivering a shot that is right for the target. The difference from the B1 line, however, is not only dependent on the design of the riflescopes: All previous Blaser Optics B1 rifle scopes (B1 1-7x28 iC, B1 2.8-20x50 iC and B1 4-20x58 iC) offer the ultra-fine precision reticle in the first image plane to achieve unique accuracy and completely avoid point-of-impact shifting due to the design.

In contrast, the new B2 line in the 30mm barrel body now deliberately places the reticle in the second image plane. This was possible because Blaser has succeeded in reducing possible point-of-impact shifts to an absolute minimum through the specially short compact design.

The B2 models impress with their performance. All models feature a 6x zoom, transmission values of 94% (day) and 92% (night), a robust aluminum tube body and hydrophobic lenses.

The riflescopes are thus naturally also perfectly suited without being combined with an attachment. The devices will be available from February 2022.
