The company Röhm was founded in 1909 by Heinrich Röhm in Zella-Mehlis in Thuringia. In the early 1950s, Röhm developed new product areas, including blank-firing weapons, signal pistols, and handguns under the RG brand. In 2009, Röhm sold this division to the world market leader Umarex.
