The company founded in 1865 in Suhl by Friedrich Wilhelm Heym was known for over a century primarily for combined weapons and shotguns of very good craftsmanship. As early as 1891, Heym patented the first hammerless drilling.
In the recent past, Heym has particularly made a name for itself with the straight-pull bolt-action system of the SR30, which was developed in the mid-90s.
Heym now manufactures its weapons in Gleichamberg, Thuringia.
The currently most popular Heym models are the classic bolt-action rifle SR 21 (98 system) and the straight-pull rifle SR30, in which the manual cocking mechanism is integrated into the chamber handle.
Price range (bolt-action rifle): €1,500-€5,000
