The optics manufacturer Minox, founded in 1945 in Wetzlar, Hesse, gained worldwide fame through its iconic 35mm cameras, sometimes referred to as "spy cameras." Since 2000, Minox has increasingly focused on binoculars, spotting scopes, riflescopes, trail cameras, and night vision devices.
In 2013, MINOX and the Biebertal riflescope specialist Optronika formed an alliance involving the L&O Group (later Blaser Group). The newly founded company German Sports Optics GSO, as part of the alliance, is responsible for the development, design, and production of MINOX optical products.
The products of the Minox brand stand for high-quality and reliable products and belong to the mid-range price segment.
