The M12 is a bolt-action rifle from Mauser, whose system is based on the legendary 98 system, like all bolt-action rifles from the company.
The M12 is a full steel construction with a cold-hammered barrel made of special steel and a locking mechanism consisting of six solid lugs directly in the barrel. This robust design is intended to make the M12 a tool that works reliably even under precarious conditions.
The magazine, with a capacity of 5 rounds in medium caliber and 4 rounds in magnum caliber, is also considered to be very robust and reliably designed. The M12 comes standard with a firing pin safety, which can optionally be replaced with a 3-position manual safety.
As with its other bolt-action rifles, Mauser offers several model variants for the M12.
