Merkel presents the SR1, a self-loading rifle that is especially suitable for driven hunts and impresses with its functional design. This rifle is equipped with a self-cleaning gas-operated self-loading system that allows for reliable and quick use of large amounts of ammunition with the SR1.
The SR1 from Merkel is offered as a simply designed tool for daily hunting needs. Weighing about 3.2 kg, it presents itself as a durable tool. It is equipped with a direct trigger and a magazine for 2+1 shots. Optionally, the self-loading rifle is also available with a mounting base in the form of a Weaver rail and an extended magazine for 5+1 shots.
Another notable feature that Merkel particularly emphasizes concerns the cartridge feeding system of the SR1. Here, the forward movement of the loading lever, unlike other self-loading rifles, occurs quietly and smoothly into the forward position.
