The S 101 Highland XTC not only sets a house record for weight but also presents a new high-tech surface on the barrel and sleeve that is second to none.
The perfectly balanced all-round rifle with hand-laid real carbon stock, fluted barrel with muzzle thread, and fluted chamber features all the popular top features of the 101 series. These include, among others, the largely closed system, enlarged ejection window, and double ejector pin.
Hand-laid Carbon Stock Made in Germany
Carbon is not just carbon. To realize not only the optical but also the outstanding technical properties of carbon, the highest quality is required. The stocks are therefore manufactured in close cooperation with a high-tech company specializing in carbon in Germany.

DLC: Maximum Protection
Diamond Like Carbon, or DLC for short, is 40 times thinner than a human hair but many times harder than steel. This high-tech coating, produced in Germany and used in aerospace, mechanical engineering, and even surgery, combines absolute wear resistance, hardness, and corrosion resistance. The steel is bombarded in a high vacuum under plasma with carbon atoms, so that the energy released causes the carbon to transition into a very hard, diamond-like phase.

DURA SAFE – Safe, quiet, and ergonomic. Maximum safety with optimal operation. The DURA SAFE is a direct firing pin safety. It operates as an ergonomic slider on the lock. The activation is instinctive and quiet.

The patented EVER REST barrel bedding realizes the previously thought impossible symbiosis of ultra-stable bedding and maximum decoupling of stock and system. This ensures precision even under the most extreme climatic conditions and after tens of thousands of shots.
Quality Made in Germany
Cold-hammered precision barrel for guaranteed precision. Barrel and system are manufactured directly at the site in Isny. Each barrel is cold-hammered and thus guarantees precision of under one MOA (29 mm with 5 shots at 100 meters).
