Form: Loan Certificate for Borrowing Weapons

Gunfinder Magazine

Anyone who wants to borrow a firearm or ammunition that requires a permit must first possess a purchase authorization, such as a hunting license and a firearms ownership card (WBK).

When borrowing, the temporary transfer of a firearm and/or ammunition that requires a permit according to § 38 Abs. 1 Nr. 1 e (Weapons Act) requires not only this purchase authorization but also a personal identification card and a loan certificate, which indicates the name of the lender, the borrower authorized for temporary possession, and the date. A sample form for this loan certificate can be found here.

Attention! The validity of a loan certificate is limited to one month. The date of issue is noted on the loan certificate.
