Discover the advantages of the ERA STI 3D - light, compact and powerful on the hunting ground. We put the newcomer from Recknagel to the test. What qualities must a first-class silencer have? Of course, the suppression of bang and muzzle flash comes first, but the ERA STI 3D scores particularly well with its compact design and minimal weight compared to other models on the market.
With an extension of only 105 mm on a test gun with a barrel length of 51 cm, the silencer impresses with its compact dimensions. The overall length of the ERA STI 3D is only 165 mm, which has a positive effect on handling when stalking, shooting at speed and quick access from the holster. Even low mounting with a driven hunt glass causes no problems. The ERA STI 3D can be used on break-barrel rifles or classic 98s and hardly affects the field of view, even at low heights.
The impressive attenuation values are particularly worth mentioning. At 33 dB with .308 Winchester and 28 dB with 6.5 Creedmoor, the silencer delivers consistent performance. The optional Era-Loc adapter allows a quick change between weapons of different caliber groups. The ERA STI 3D is available for 7.62mm, 8mm and 9.5mm caliber groups. In the test, it proved its robustness in blackthorn hedges, cornfields and even in contact with sand and mud. The hard-wearing coating can withstand a lot, and cleaning after intensive use is easy thanks to the key supplied. The inside of the silencer can be easily removed and cleaned to maintain its damping performance. Read the full story on JÄGER.de!
